Partner Notification Project
This ongoing partner notification project will amalgamate various activities related to partner notification that have a specific communicable disease focus, emphasize the commonalities in the practice of partner notification and then address challenges specific to each included communicable disease. The project will incorporate two draft NCCID knowledge products, an evidence review on partner notification for HIV and a project on partner notification for chlamydia into a broader theme and expand on other sexually transmitted and bloodborne infections that are not currently covered.
This project will make use of a mixed method approach to capture a wide range of evidence – both published and experiential. Components of this project will include:
- Provincial and territorial acts, regulations and protocols related to partner notification/contact tracing
- A series of experiential reviews of practice in Canada
- A series of evidence review-like literature syntheses
- Mathematical/simulation modeling for evaluating the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of different modes of contact tracing for chlamydia
